Pre-K
Vermont pre-K at Sedge
Sedge takes part in the state's pre-K program. What that means for your family depends on your child's age and the schedule you choose, so we go through it with you.
What it is
Vermont's pre-K program is arranged through the state and your school district. Sedge is a partner school, so a family can use the program here.
How it fits with tuition
Ask us how it works with our tuition. We'll go through your child's age, the days a week and the hours in front of us, and say plainly what is covered and what is not.
How tuition worksThe form
Families fill in the state's pre-K form in March. We sit down with you, in person or by phone, and go through it together.
Moving on
In the spring we talk with you about where your child goes next and help with the paperwork a kindergarten asks for.

Pre-K questions
Does my child have to be in pre-K to come to Sedge?
No. Families who don't use the program enroll in the same rooms on the same schedules. Ask us how tuition works for your family.
Which ages does it cover?
Children in the year or two before kindergarten. Whether yours qualifies depends on their age and the state's current rules, and we check those with you when you ask.
How does pre-K change what we pay?
That depends on your child's schedule and age. We go through it with you at the tour and when you fill in the form.
Who do I ask at the school?
Opal, the director, answers pre-K questions and sits down with each family for the form.
